Isn't a video the best way of summarising a week?

Last week in class A we had a trip to Asia. We made sushi with rice and vegetables with Chef Jesus in our kitchen and we also made a sushi craft too. We made grey wolf masks as it is the typical animal from Turkey, and we played an Asian food matching game. The children learned names of Chinese animals and they created a panda face with paint and a fork. They also tried to make a dragon pose during our yoga lesson and were able to create a dragon from rectangles of coloured paper! The children enjoyed some balloon games and our sports day with our teacher Diego!

This week we had a trip around the Oceania continent. On Monday we went to Masacar and we investigated the animals that live there and we made animal masks. We also learned some of the language used there for body parts and created some scary monsters! On Tuesday we moved on to Sidney and we looked at the landmarks there, we made boomerangs and learned how to use them, the children also enjoyed drawing a koala bear, step by step and finding out some facts about them. On Wednesday we then moved on to Samoa and looked at their culture. We enjoyed making necklaces from coloured paper cake cases and wearing them. We then moved on to Auckland on Thursday, we watched how the rugby team dance the ´Haka´ and tried to copy them! As the woman´s world cup began in New Zealand on the same day we looked at the teams’ football shirt and we tried to design our own. We created our own gecko form a lolly pop stick too. Friday was water play day, and we had a ball playing together in the swimming pool! Have a great weekend! See you for the final week on Monday!

This week we travelled to America! Firstly, we went to Hawaii, making Hawaiian skirts to dance with the hula hoop, then we travelled on to Mexico and Cuba, making paper plate sombreros and maracas. We enjoyed a day of Disney, watching some movies and listening to songs from films, and we had our faces painted of Mickey Mouse and made a Mickey face. The children have really enjoyed the different developmental activities, using all their skills and full potential of the summer to make some great creations! It was a pleasure to have worked with these beautiful children and I hope to see you all soon, if not next year!!! Have a fantastic summer break. Claire, Emma and Priyasha.
